Four E’s Scientific MS321-1 Wired or Wireless Hub-Controlled Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer
The Four E’s Scientific MS321-1 is a 5-inch magnetic hotplate stirrer built to be managed remotely from the MS321-2 Hub Controller, either via a 2-metre wired connection or wirelessly over Bluetooth or 2.4G. Rather than having its own control panel, the MS321-1 shows its equipment tracking number, speed, and temperature on a simple LED display, with all setup and adjustment carried out from the hub’s touchscreen.
Please note: the MS321-1 requires at least one MS321-2 Hub Controller to operate — it does not include onboard controls and cannot be run as a standalone unit. If you don’t already own a Hub Controller, see our MS321 Multi-Stirrer Hub System Bundle, which includes both the controller and 6 MS321-1 units together.
Key Features
Wired or Wireless Hub Control
Each MS321-1 connects to the MS321-2 hub via a 2-metre wired cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth or 2.4G, up to 10m from the controller — supporting flexible bench layouts without individual control panels cluttering the workspace.
Heating Up to 310°C
A heating range from room temperature to 310°C, with a safety cutoff of 50–325°C, covers routine laboratory heating and stirring requirements.
PID Temperature Control with PT1000 Sensing
A PID controller ensures rapid, accurate heating, with automatic identification and switch-over to external PT1000 sensor operation when connected — the PT1000 probe is included as standard.
Ceramic-Coated, Chemical-Resistant Plate
The aluminium alloy plate with ceramic coating resists high temperatures and chemical corrosion while remaining easy to clean.
Maintenance-Free Brushless Motor
A brushless DC motor drives stirring up to 20L capacity with a 55mm stirring bar, requiring no routine maintenance over its working life.

Applications
The MS321-1 Hub-Controlled Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer is suited to laboratory settings including:
- Parallel synthesis and method screening — multiple units run and monitored from one hub
- High-throughput QC sample preparation — reduces the need to manually check individual stirrers
- Teaching laboratories — an instructor console overseeing several student workstations
- Space-constrained benches — no individual control panel required at each stirring position
MS321-1 vs Standalone Hotplate Stirrers
Unlike single-position models such as the MI0102002 Digital Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer, which has its own onboard LED controls and works independently, the MS321-1 is designed specifically for multi-unit, hub-controlled setups and requires an MS321-2 controller. For a single stirrer with no separate controller needed, the standalone models are the simpler choice; for laboratories running several stirrers in parallel, the MS321 system reduces the need to configure and monitor each unit separately.
